Around the Spring time of 1980, I was back at the Main Butcher’s Shop. I always got the Feeling the Shop Manager (who’s name was Ernie) did’nt Like me to much!

If any of the other Shop’s needed a Relief Butcher, he always asked me whether I wanted to go there to work, I always said yes, as I didn’t go much on him either!

Incidentally We now have a Dog called “Ernie” I perfer him to my Shop Manager!

Any way I ended up working at Several Different Shop Branches in our Area, 2 in Gorleston (this was my Home Town) 2 in Lowesoft (this was about 7 miles away) & 2 in Great Yarmouth (4 miles away) & 1 in Norwich (which was 20 miles away)

I used to Pay to get the Local Bus to get to these different Shops, which I used to get back in my following weeks Wages. I think the Best Shops I liked Working in were the Lowestoft Branches, the Staff were much better at these 2 Shops, I can Remember in Lowesoft there was 1 small & 1 large Shop, the Manager in the Large Shop was a Chap called “Steve”, he as I remember was a nice Chap, I can vaguely remember what he looked like, 30 Years is a long time!

I think this Relief work lasted all the way through the Summer of 1980!

As for Music around this period, One Great Track I remember was “Unlock the Funk” by Locksmith
they also had an Album out, Download Here!

The Album was Produced by Drummer “Harvey Mason”

I dont think I ever heard another Album made by “Locksmith”

Another Great Album was  “Power” by The Temptations, I had this Album on Tape, as I remember, the Single “Power” featured the Great  Dennis Edwards.
